The ES12 is one of the very few monitors currently utilizing not one, not two, but four innovative Sonion electrostatic drivers from Denmark. The newly developed electrostatic supertweeter from Sonion utilizes ultralight membranes powered by a high voltage miniature transformer, effectively extending the treble response up to 70kHz for incredible detail retrieval, life-like soundstage reproduction, and extremely accurate transient response
