Enhanced Sound with New-Generation Dynamic Driver
Moondrop has revamped the driver used in the original Chu IEMs, equipping the Chu II with a high-quality aluminum-magnesium alloy composite diaphragm dome and ultra-thin CCAW voice coil. This combination, along with the diaphragm’s high rigidity and lightweight nature, delivers improved treble extensions and punchier bass response. The Chu II sets a new standard as the first budget IEM to incorporate an AL-Mg alloy composite diaphragm.
Anti-Oxidation Alloy Casted Shells
The Chu II retains the stylish design of its predecessor, featuring ear shells manufactured using Moondrop’s advanced alloy casting technology. This manufacturing process ensures a robust and solid build structure with a refined textured finish. Additionally, the ergonomic shape of the ear shells guarantees a comfortable and secure fit, enhancing the overall listening experience.
CNC Machined Brass Acoustic Nozzle with Replaceable Mouth
The Chu II boasts a CNC machined brass acoustic nozzle, contributing to highly precise sound reproduction with a beautiful and rich tone. What’s more, the filter at the mouth of the nozzle is replaceable, allowing users to easily swap it out if it gets damaged or blocked, ensuring uninterrupted audio performance.

The Moondrop Chu II is meticulously tuned by experienced acoustic engineers and audiophiles with extensive knowledge and experience in the audio industry. It follows the VDSF target response, just like the OG model, but with the inclusion of a newer and higher-quality dome diaphragm, resulting in refined and richer sound reproduction compared to its predecessor.
